* AVIATION: The Tatas appear to be moving closer to a decision to bid for Air India in partnership with Singapore Airlines and have already started working on the structure for such an acquisition—including a merger of AirAsia India, in which they hold 51%, and Air India Express, a 100% subsidiary of the government-owned national carrier.
* ECONOMY: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said the money that the government raises from disinvestment in state-owned companies will be used for spending on infrastructure.
* REGULATORY: SEBI has proposed that in case of any delay in an open offer, the acquirer will have to pay an additional 10% interest to all the shareholders over and above the offer price.
* TELECOMMUNICATION: The Budget, presented on Saturday, did not factor in the government's claims against telecom companies following a court verdict in its favour on calculation of adjusted gross revenue. The dues were not part of revenue estimates for 2019-20 (Apr-Mar) as well as 2020-21, Economic Affairs Secretary Atanu Chakraborty said.
