USD/JPY. Pair after opening at 112.31 made low of 111.60 and was trading with some sidewise bias but after making a low below 111.60 bounced but could not surpass the levels of 113.00 so the pair is likely to range bound between levels of 111.50-112.70 levels during the day.

Fundamental Overview

Yen is trading at 112.19, remaining largely unchanged as compared to yesterday. The pair has been trading in the range of 111.50-112.50 for the last few sessions and will continue to do so before the meeting between Japanese PM Abe and Donald Trump tomorrow. We would like to trade the above mentioned range for the day.

GBP/USD. Pair after opening at at 1.2508 made a high of 1.2550 on last trading day and was trading with some positive bias ,the pair after violating the levels of 1.24 had a strong intraday trend a day before on down side and made a low of 1.2345 and reversed so now 1.24 will become a strong base while strong resistance come at 1.27 so likely to trade within the range with positive bias.

Fundamental Overview

Pound is trading at 1.2506, topping out at 1.2550 in yesterday’s trade. There was no major data from the UK yesterday but fund flows and US dollar influenced the price action. After being beaten down considerably, we can expect such a pull back and this has to be used to sell again as long term trend outlook remains weak for the pound.

EUR/USD. Pair after opening at 1.0681 mad e low of 1.0638 and was trading with a negative bias the pair is not able surpass the supports of 1.06 and bounce and on 30min charts forming a inverted head and shoulder signifying a small reversal so until the pair violates the 1.06 mark on down side can head higher intraday.

Fundamental Overview

Euro is trading at 1.0685, continued to remain under pressure with the shared currency testing 1.0640 low in yesterday’s session. Political uncertainty in the EU, emerging out of the French elections that are scheduled for April 23rd continues to keep markets on the short side of the Euro and with limited economic data to be reported today, expect another weak day for the euro. We prefer remaining on the short side of Euro for the time being.

USDINR, the pair after opening at 67.49 made a high of 67.52 and could not sustain the higher levels and reversed and closed lower signifies weakness in ongoing trend the pair after no rate cut from Indian monetary policy could not bounce and continues its short term trend now likely to open near 67.07 Spot but going ahead 66.80 will act as a support.

Fundamental Overview

US dollar index is trading at 100.31, managing to stay above the 100 mark after dropping from above 100.60 levels in yesterday’s session. Sharp drop in the treasury yields and a weak wall street dragged on the dollar. Fall in crude prices after inventory build-up added to the weakness in US equities and the dollar. Expect the currency pairs to continue trading in these ranges for the short term with focus today on weekly jobs data and US bond yields.

The Indian rupee gained further in early trade Thursday. It has opened higher by 15 paise at 67.04 per dollar versus previous close of 67.19. Kotak Mahindra Bank says US dollar is in a tight range against most currencies despite strong US payroll data indicating exhaustion in the rally. He expects rupee to strengthen against the dollar in-line with other Asian currencies. The USD-INR pair is expected to trade in a range of 66.90-67.20/dollar, according to him. The dollar pressured by the decline in US treasury yields amid uncertainty about President Donald Trump's economic policies.

USD/JPY. Pair after opening at 111.78 made low of 111.57 and was trading with some negative bias but after making a low below 111.57 bounced but could not surpass the levels of 113.00 so the pair is likely to range bound between levels of 111.50-112.70 levels during the day.

Fundamental Overview

Yen is trading at 112.16, depreciating against US dollar, following the US dollar strength globally. Japan’s Current Account deficit was reported this morning came in better than expected at 1.112T. No data scheduled for the day and focus would be on the US dollar strength and overall risk aversion in the markets.

GBP/USD. Pair after opening at at 1.2467 made a high of 1.2547 on last trading day and was trading with negative bias ,the pair after violating the levels of 1.24 had a strong intraday trend on down side and made a low of 1.2345 and reversed in overnight market and made bullish candle so intraday dips shall be utilize to buy the pair.

Fundamental Overview

Pound is trading at 1.2506, rebunding against US dollar in the overnight session. We have seen GBPUSD pair making a high of 1.2544 recovering from the lows of 1.2347 that were seen yesterday. Article 50 debates continue in UK Parliament. Halifax House Price Index numbers were reported lower than expected. No data to be published today. Any news related to Brexit and US dollar strength would drive the pair.

EUR/USD. Pair after opening at 1.0748mad e high of 1.0750 and was trading with a negative bias the pair is not able surpass the resistance of 1.08 on closing basis a day before and came down and yesterday after violating the levels of 1.07the pair had strong trend on the down side, now 1.08 will likely to become strong supply zone and any rise would be shorting opportunity.

Fundamental Overview

Euro is trading at 1.0685, droping to a low of 1.0658 in yesterdays session as political uncertainty weighs down on the Euro. The euro has also been pushed lower after the weaker than expected German industrial production data which has declined by 3% in January. Expect 1.07 to act as a fulcrum and we prefer fading upticks in todays market.

USDINR, the pair after opening at 67.44 made a low of 67.40 and could not sustain the lower levels and made a high of 67.59and intraday traded with positive bias , the pair has taken support at 67.05 on spot and reversed but going ahead the pair is likely to find resistance at 67.70 from where the pair breakdown of in todays session is expected to be highly volatile.

Fundamental Overview

US dollar index is trading at 100.31, failing back from the 100.69 levels that were seen yesterday. Weakness in the Euro because of the political problems and the optimism about Trump drove the US dollar higher. US trade data was reported narrower than expected but had little impact. There is no data for the day and we expect the dollar index to remain supported near the 100 levels.
