USD/JPY. Pair after opening at 115.43made a low of 115.03 and saw the strongest reversal after the release of NFP of the US were but Japanese markets are closed today for coming of age day and movement in the USDJPY pair would be dependent on the US dollar flows. and likely to see some range bound activity in the pair but long term trend remains on the buy side.

Fundamental Overview

Yen is trading at 117.26, depreciating against the US dollar after the NFP data was reported on Friday. The USDJPY pair moved towards 115.07 before moving back above the 117.00 mark. Japanese markets are closed today for coming of age day and movement in the USDJPY pair would be dependent on the US dollar flows.

GBP/USD. Pair after opening at 1.2413 made a high of 1.2430, and could not sustain the higher levels after the release of NFP data from the US the pair is expected to trade within the range of 1.2150-1.2390 for coming week and any rise is a shorting opportunity in the pair and the pair can test the lower range.

Fundamental Overview

Pound is trading at 1.2258, continuing to trade in the broader range of 1.2250 -1.2450. lack of any significant news relating to Brexit is keeping the pair confined to the this range. there is no data to be reported today and we expect 1.2230 to act a support and 1.2430 continuing to remain a top for the pair in the near term.

EUR/USD. Pair after opening at 1.0489 Euro is trading at 1.0535, after making a high of 1.0623 during the NFP data release. Traders have attributed the rise in Euro to short covering but the longer term picture remains to be negative now 1.05 levels is pivot to watch any close below can take the pair to its recent swing low of 1.0350 levels so the pair remains sell on rise.

Fundamental Overview

Euro is trading at 1.0535, after making a high of 1.0623 during the NFP data release. Traders have attributed the rise in Euro to short covering but the longer term picture remains to be negative for the shared currency. German import and industrial production on tap for the day but expect a slow start to the Euro and a recovery in weakness during the European session.

USDINR, the pair after opening at 67.99 and made a low of 67.93 and saw some side activity after a selling pressure in the first hour trade a day before on spot basis the pair is trading in the broader range of 67.70-68.40 and likely to trade in the range for some time expects the pair to trade in positive bias for the day.

Fundamental Overview

US dollar index recovered from the lows on Friday after slipping initially, the dollar rallied on Friday evening following the December jobs report, which was light on the NFP print, though upwardly revised back months, and stronger hourly earnings data offset the weak NFP print. No major data is scheduled for release today but another attempt by the US indices to breach the life high would push the US dollar higher.

The Indian rupee declined in the early trade on Monday. It has opened lower by 21 paise at 68.17 per dollar versus 67.96 Friday. Veracity, "The rupee will continue to trade sideways but with a positive bias as optimism in equity market will help it appreciate. The USD-INR is expected to trade in a range of 67.80-68.20/dollar for the day." The dollar held steady after mixed US payrolls report. Yields on US 10-year notes rose from 2.33 percent to 2.42 percent on the data.
