USD/JPY. Pair after opening at 112.75 and made high of 113.90 continuing with the upward trend as key resistance at 112.40 has been comfortably taken out. Expect some resistance near the 114.00 mark but the thin trading volumes in the markets could help the slide in Yen. Nest resistance at 114.27 with a support at 113.00.

Fundamental Overview

Yen is trading at 113.64, moving by another 100 points as the US dollar continued with its accent. Inflation data reported this morning was in line with expectations but a continued slide for the last four month added to the negative sentiment of the Yen. Yen continued to remain a sell on rise in the current environment as the dollar remains bid.

GBP/USD. Pair after opening at 1.2422 made a low of 1.2352, and seen some selling pressure from the higher levels , but it respected 1.2350 mark and saw some bounce 1.25-1.26 has been strong resistance in the pair 1.26 is has been strong resistance in the pair until the pair close above 1.26 the pair likely to find resistance in the pair but 1.23 is acting as a support but utilize the buy dips to buy for the day

Fundamental Overview

Pound is trading at 1.2450, continuing to remain resilient against the US dollar after the UK finance chancellor announced modest fiscal expansion policies on Wednesday. Pound is likely to remain supported, benefiting from the reduction in negative sentiment. Expect Pound to trade in a range for the day as markets are likely to wait for the GDP print but any positive surprise could help pound move towards 1.25.

EUR/USD. Pair after opening at 1.0623 Made a high of 1.0659 and saw the pair trading in the range of 1.0580-1.0640 and range is broken on the down side now that will act as a strong resistance in the pair and pair is forming lower top and lower bottom formation on daily time frame but 1.05 is a short term target for the pair and its likely to find some support but sell l on rise is advisable

Fundamental Overview

Euro is trading at 1.0565, remaining largely unchanged in a range bound session yesterday. Euro traded near to a 12 month lower of 1.0520 and then moved higher to close above the 1.0550 mark. German GDP was reported lower at 1.5% and business expectations and business climate were also reported lower. Longer term outlook continues to remain negative for the Euro with a test of parity being a possibility.

USDINR, the pair after opening at 68.74 and made a high of 68.86 and saw trend continuation, the pair has seen sharp selling near to the previous high of 68.85 with the possibility that the central bank would have sold dollars to ease volatility. Expect the 68.85 mark to be protected for the day but the technical indicators point for the trend to continue. Movement should be restricted to 68.50-68.80 range for the day.

Fundamental Overview

US dollar index is trading at a 13 year high of 101.92, gaining momentum after positive durable goods orders, manufacturing PMI and consumer sentiment. Markets were convinced of a rate hike from the US after the FOMC meeting minutes were released yesterday, which indicated the rates could go up very soon. US markets are closed today for thanksgiving but the dollar rally is set to continue into the FOMC meeting minutes in December.

The Indian rupee opened flat at 68.72 per dollar on Friday versus previous close 68.73. HDFC Bank said, "High volatility and unidirectional move is the order of the day in the USD-INR market. A surging dollar index, spectre of US interest rate hike have seen net FII outflow to the tune of USD 4 billion leading to almost 4 percent depreciation of the rupee." "It's overdone. Hence, I expect USD-INR pair to consolidate between 68.60-69/dollar," he added. The government rushed to allay fears after the rupee drops to an all-time low of 68.86 to the dollar before recovering on perceived RBI intervention. The commerce minister said, rupee fluctuation has been factored in by exporters. "The government has no immediate plans to intervene in the currency markets," he added. The dollar approached an eight-month high against the yen after government reports Wednesday showed US economic growth remains intact, supporting the case for an increase in interest rates. The greenback gained against all of peers as the odds that the Federal Reserve will tighten at its December meeting rose to 100 percent.
