USD/JPY. Pair after opening at 100.29and made a high of 99.91 and was seen buying pressure, the pair had bottom out and made a low of 98.98 and from there the pair had reversed and now trading near its 08Dma 102.35, the pair is not able to go below 99.levels and that has emerge as a strong support so any trade above 100.50 is a breakout buying in the pair

Fundamental Overview

Yen is trading at 100.47, with little change from yesterday, reflecting the range bound trade in the US dollar. CPI data reported this morning was below expectations and forces markets to assume further stimulus from the Bank of Japan to prop up inflation. Major moves can be expected after Yellen speech but the pair is likely to settle near the 100.00 mark.

GBP/USD. Pair after opening at 1.3230 made a high of 1.3264 , and saw some profit booking from the higher levels the pair is respecting the levels of 1.3100 as a resistance and 20DMA at 1.3096 and now that has become support and the pair is making inverted head and shoulder pattern on hourly chart so intraday dips shall be utilized to buy the pair

Fundamental Overview

Pound is trading at 1.3200, losing some steam from the rally that was seen in the last few trading sessions. Second quarter GDP and business climate data is scheduled to be reported and another positive data could drive the pair higher before Yellen speech in the evening. Expect the pair to be volatile and we would like to fade upticks in the pair.

EUR/USD. Pair after opening at 1.1303Made a high of 1.1311, and was trading with a negative bias, during the day ,but the pair has violated the recent range and any rise close to its yesterdays high likely to find resistance, while strong resistance near swing high and channel resistance 1.1360 will face strong hurdle, so rise shall be utilized to sell the pair

Fundamental Overview

Euro is trading at 1.1291, appreciating marginally in yesterday’s trade despite a weak print in the German business climate index. Euro is expected to hover around these levels during the day but a dovish statement from Yellen could drive the pair higher.

Above is the Daily Chart of USDINR, the pair after opening at 67.12 and made a high of 67.13 and trading side wise session after pair breaking out few days back now 67.00- will act as a strong support in the pair on spot basis and any dip can be utilized to go long in the pair and short term resistance will come around 67.40 levels but intraday expecting a range of 66.90-67.10


Fundamental Overview

US dollar index is trading at 94.64; remaining largely unchanged against the majors as markets eagerly wait for Yellen’s speech tonight. A hawkish statement, affirming a rate this year, Fed chair could drive USD higher, but the chances for the same remain slim. We can expect a wait and watch stance statement which could help other currencies rally against the dollar.

Global markets remain anxious before the key speech from Janet Yellen later in the evening. Investors expect to hear some clues about future rate hikes from the FED chair, and these expectations will keep them from taking positions during the day. US dollar, along with the majors is expected to trade sideways and all other data would be irrelevant before the Key event in the evening. We expect an ambiguous statement from Yellen and this could limit dollar gains after the event. Rupee is set to open on a marginally positive note but would continue with the range bound trading during the day.
