GBP/USD. Pair after opening at 1.2171 made a high of 1.2190, and could not sustain the higher levels selling at a higher levels the pair made a low below 1.2115 and bounced now trading near the resistance of 1.22 so if not sustain can be sold with the of 1.2130levels for the day.

Fundamental Overview

Pound is trading at 1.2186, after an attempt to the break the 1.21 mark in yesterdays session. Concerns about UK's exit from the EU after the PM's comments drove the pair lower but 1.21 is acting as a strong support and we need another round of negative news to break the level. Lot of data to be reported today from the UK and the reaction to the outcome would be the driver for pound.

EUR/USD. Pair after opening at 1.0585 yesterday made a high of 1.0627and traded with a negative side, the pair was not able to surpass 1.0620 and reversed creating a shooting star candle on the 30 min chart the pair can test the recent swing of 1.05 and can head lower so sell on rise for the day.

Fundamental Overview

Euro is trading at 1.0559, unable to stay above the 1.06 mark after multiple attempts in yesterday's session. Economic data was light yesterday and remains the same for today as well for the Euro zone. US dollar sentiment will remain in the driving seat for the Euro in today's trade and Trump's speech could induce some needed volatility to force the pair to break from the recent range of 1.05-1.0640.

USDINR, the pair after opening at 68.21 and made a low of 68.13 and saw the pair bounced from the supports of 68.00 on spot after a side wise to buying activity in the pair a day before, the pair is trading in the broader range of 67.70-68.40 and likely to trade in the range for some time, with positive bias so any dips shall be a buying opportunity.

Fundamental Overview

US dollar index is trading above the 102 mark after posting a marginal recovery in yesterday's session. There was no economic data or event that could induce some movement but markets are looking forward to the press conference of Donald Trump today. The speech is likely to remain upbeat and we will have to wait for the markets reaction. This could give another boost to the US dollar for the days ahead.

The Indian rupee opened lower by 5 paise at 68.23 per dollar on Wednesday versus previous close 68.18. NS Venkatesh of Lakshmi Vilas Bank said, "The rupee is expected to trade steadily in a narrow range of 68.15-68.35/dollar." "The rupee will take cues from the equity market movement as well as the minor weakness of USD against the major currencies." US dollar held steady ahead of US president-elect Donald Trump's first news conference set for today, while the Mexican peso hit a record low. Investors fretted that trump, who takes office on January 20, could shake markets by taking an aggressive line on issues such as trade policy.
