USD/JPY. Pair after opening at 113.0 and made high of 114.20 and saw some sidewise to buying session yesterday after a bearish candle few days back but it continuing with the upward trend for past many days 114.70 is a key resistance and pair is likely to be respect 112 as it has taken out 109 comfortably. But not sustain above 114 mark with divergence in indicators so likely to see some selling pressure.

Fundamental Overview

Yen is trading at 113.36, appreciating against the US dollar as markets weigh the dollar strength going into the ECB event today. With the FOMC coming in focus after ECB event today, markets are likely to push the Yen lower as policy divergence remains the key driver. Look for opportunities near 113.00 to go long dollar again.

GBP/USD. Pair after opening at 1.2680 made a high of 1.2682, and seen some selling from the said levels and from lower levels seen could not sustain the levels as that was a short covering levels few day back the pair , not able to surpass1.2800 mark and saw some selling coming from this levels now this will act as a strong resistance in coming days and 1.26 is acting as a support so dips to buy the pair.

Fundamental Overview

Pound is trading at 1.2649, continuing to remain weak as Brexit headlines dominated the markets. Economic data was reported weak with the industrial output falling by 1.3%, the biggest fall in four years. There is no major economic data to be reported from the UK today and focus would be on the cross flows from Euro after the ECB meeting.

EUR/USD. Pair after opening at 1.0717 Made a high of 1.0770 and saw the pair trading side wise to positive after it testing levels of 1.05 few days back and could not sustain that levels and saw some strong buying in the pair this signifies bulls are aggressive at that levels and buying pressure at lower elves and yesterday created a inside bar type of pattern suggesting more sidewise to upside from the said levels so any dips is a buying opportunity in the pair

Fundamental Overview

Euro is trading at 1.0777, after making a low of 1.0725 in yesterday’s session. Markets remain in a wait and watch mode before the ECB meeting today. Any withdrawal of the existing stimulus would add to the positive momentum and will take the euro close to 1.09.

USDINR, the pair after opening at 67.90 and made a high of 68.09 and saw some volatile session but the pair could not sustain the buying interest after the RBI policy and gave away its gains and violated the crucial supports of 68 levels , the pair has seen sharp selling from 68.86 and now we expect further selling to continue.

Fundamental Overview

US dollar index is trading at 100.03, continuing to trend lower as markets continued to doubt the US dollar strength. There was no economic data from the US but expectations of tightening from the ECB drove the dollar lower. Bond yields too continued to cool off adding to the US dollar weakness. Expect the trend to continue till after the ECB meeting and then focus would shift to the FOMC meeting on Wednesday next week.

"US Fed rate hike this month is certain. Market focus is now on pace of future hikes. RBI did not cut policy rates as expected resulting in strengthening of the rupee. The USD-INR is expected to trade in a range of 67.30-67.60/USD for the day." "The bond market reacted sharply to the RBI not delivering a rate cut. Rollback on CRR and other liquidity measures did not help sentiment. We expect the 10-year benchmark bond yield to trade in a range of 6.39-6.45 percent for the day."

The Indian rupee opened higher by 10 paise at 67.53 per dollar on Thursday versus previous close 67.63. Kotak Mahindra Bank said, "US Fed rate hike this month is certain. Market focus is now on pace of future hikes. RBI did not cut policy rates as expected resulting in strengthening of the rupee." "The USD-INR is expected to trade in a range of 67.30-67.60/dollar for the day." The euro gained slightly on the dollar as investors focused on today's European Central Bank meeting. The dollar index weakened but is holding above the 100 mark.
