USD/JPY. Pair after opening at 118.22 and made high of 118.42 and saw some profit booking in the session yesterday after strong run-up from the lower levels the pair is making higher top and bottom formation I n the daily time frame and this is a correction in ongoing trend \only intraday can sell as pair created a small double top in hourly chart but so intraday sell can be initiated at the said levels

Fundamental Overview

Yen is trading at 117.63, as the USDJPY pair fell to 117.50 after the China drone seizure story was published. Scare for a geopolitical tension drove the pair lower but with the tensions cooling off now, we can expect a continued journey of the Yen towards further depreciation. Bank of Japan policy meeting is set to begin today and the statement, which is expected to have to major changes is due to be published tomorrow.

GBP/USD. Pair after opening at 1.2422 made a high of 1.2510, and seen some side wise action after a selling from the higher levels but the pair violated the lower levels of 1.2550 and now trending on the downside going ahead 1.23 will act as a support as the pair has respected few days so rise is an opportunity to sell and pair, so intraday apply that strategy to sell at rise.

Fundamental Overview

Pound is trading at 1.2480, rebounding from the lower levels of 1.24 that were seen on Friday. There was no major data after the BOE statement on Thursday and the sharp up move can be attributed to some profit booking. December right move home price figures are on tap today but are unlikely to have a major impact. Pound too remains a sell on every rise from this point on.

EUR/USD. Pair after opening at 1.0419 Made a high of 1.0474 and saw the pair trading with some side hovering near 1.0450 and trading below 1.05 levels mark and started trending on the down side few day back after violating strong supports of 1.05 so that levels will act as a strong resistance in the pair and will so any rise is an opportunity to sell.

Fundamental Overview

Euro is trading at 1.0454, struggling to break above the 1.0475 mark that was acting as a strong resistance for the last two sessions. Expect some consolidation after the sharp fall that was seen in the previous week. The divergent monetary policy would be in play and every rise in the shared currency would be an opportunity to sell.

USDINR, the pair after opening at 67.95 and made a high of 67.95 and saw some profit booking to side wise session after a buying from a gap up opening few days back, the pair taken supports from the lower levels of 67.50 and that’s holding in the pair ,but the pair having supply near 68 mark so likely to trade side wise with positive bias.

Fundamental Overview

US dollar index is trading at 102.68, bouncing back from lower levels that were seen on Friday after reports about an American drone being captured by China. Tensions however were cooled off after China agreed to return the same. With limited data to be reported today, expect a sideways move for the Dollar but the overall trend of the US dollar strength is set to continue.

The Indian rupee has opened lower by 5 paise at 67.81 per dollar on Monday against Friday's closing value of 67.76 a dollar. Veracity feels constant FII outflow and strong dollar index will put pressure on the rupee. The USD-INR pair is expected to trade in a range of 67.50-68/dollar for the day.The dollar slipped below the 103 mark as profit-taking halts the momentum of the greenback's rally.
