Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to open in red; auto stocks in focus

Domestic bourses are expected to start the day on weaker note on Monday amid subdued cues from the global peers.
Investors will keep an eye on key macroeconomic data that are scheduled to be released this week. Markit Manufacturing PMI for July is slated to be declared later in the day.
Meanwhile, auto stocks are expected to hog the limelight as automakers release their July sales numbers.
On the result front, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Exide Industries, Kansai Nerolac Paints, KPIT Technologies, Nava Bharat Ventures, Solara Active Pharma Sciences, TRF, VST Industries, etc. are set to announce their earning numbers today.
On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 37606.89 down by -129.18 points or by -0.34 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11073.45 down by -28.7 points.
