Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to start on positive note today
25/02/2020 08:37
Indian benchmarks are expected to start the day on a positive note on Tuesday. However, sentiment may remain fragile as most major markets across the globe continue to feel pressure of coronavirus cases. Besides coronavirus, investors would track the second day of US President Donald Trump's India visit.

In Asia, MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan slipped 0.2 per cent in the early trade on Tuesday, while Japan's Nikkei shed 3.7 per cent for the biggest daily drop since late 2018.

Oil prices slumped by nearly 4 percent on Monday as the rapid spread of the coronavirus in countries outside China added to investor concerns over the effect on demand for crude.

On Monday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 40363.23 down by -806.89 points or by -1.96 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11829.4 down by -251.45 points.
