Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to open higher; HDFC Bank in focus

Domestic bourses are expected to start the day in green on Monday tracking positive cues from the global peers.
Investors will react to the quarterly results of HDFC Bank announced over the weekend. India's largest private sector lender reported a healthy September quarter result with its net profit rising by 18.4 per cent to Rs 7,513 crore on substantial growth in interest earnings and other income. Further, a total of 21 companies including Britannia Industries, HDFC Life Insurance Company, L&T Technology Services, ACC, Century Textiles, CSB Bank, Borosil Renewables, Hatsun Agro Product, Bank of Maharashtra, Rallis India, Sagarsoft (India), Shish Industries, Skipper, Smruthi Organics, Sumeru Industries, Tata Metaliks, Texmaco Infrastructure, Texmaco Rail, Titan Biotech, Titan Securities and Chemo Pharma Laboratories will announce quarterly earnings today.
On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 39982.98 up by 254.57 points or by 0.64 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11762.45 up by 82.1 points.
