Pre-Session: Lower start likely for Sensex, Nifty; IRCTC, BHEL results eyed

Domestic bourses are expected to start the day on negative note on Friday tracking weak global cues. Market participants will also follow stock-specific developments and keep an eye on newsflow on India-China and Covid-19 front.
Further, the July industrial and manufacturing production data is scheduled to release today, post market hours.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on September 10 stated that there is a need for fresh stimulus, notably investments on health, food and income support for vulnerable households, and support for enterprises because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 38840.32 up by 646.4 points or by 1.69 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11449.25 up by 171.25 points.
