Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to open lower amid feeble global cues

Domestic bourses are expected to start the day in red on Monday amid weak cues from the global peers. Investors will mainly track development around India-China tensions. India and China are engaged in talks through both diplomatic and military channels to ease the tension at the border. Any further escalation will be a big negative for the markets.
Among individual stocks, Vodafone Idea is set to trade actively after the company's board approved fund raising of up to Rs 25,000 crore. The company has also said it will make a strategic announcement today.
On the result front, A total of 52 companies are expected to report their earnings including CG Power, General Insurance Corporation of India, and Parag Milk Foods.
On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 38357.18 down by -633.76 points or by -1.63 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11333.85 down by -193.6 points.
