Pre-Session: Markets likely to open flat ahead of F&O expiry

Domestic bourses are expected to open flat and remain volatile today ahead of the monthly derivative contracts expiry today. Investors will also track the GST council meeting as well as the annual general meeting of Tata Sons. Further, telecom stocks will be in focus today after Trai said the industry lost over 56 lakh wireless subscribers in May amid the nationwide lockdown.
On the result front, a total of 51 companies including NMDC, and Avanti Feeds are scheduled to announce their June quarter results today.
On Wednesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 39073.92 up by 230.04 points or by 0.59 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11549.6 up by 77.35 points.
