Pre-Session: Positive start likely for Sensex, Nifty today

Domestic bourses are expected to start the day in green on Monday tracking positive trend in Asian indices. The overall direction will be largely driven by global cues, developments around Covid-19, corporate results, and stock-specific developments.
Besides, an ongoing Supreme Court hearing on telecom AGR dues remains on market participants’ radar with the next hearing scheduled for today.
On the result front, a total of 53 companies, including LIC Housing Finance, IRB Infrastructure Developers, and Nocil are scheduled to report their quarterly earnings today.
On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 38434.72 up by 214.33 points or by 0.56 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11371.6 up by 59.4 points.
