Pre-Session: Subdued start on cards for Sensex, Nifty on Wednesday

Indian markets are expected to open on subdued note on Wednesday.The next batch of quarterly numbers, stock-specific action, global cues, and Covid-19 trends are expected to dominate investor sentiment today. Besides, investors will also keep an eye on Markit Services PMI for July, which is slated to be declared today.
On the earnings front, over 65 companies, including Adani Gas, Apollo Tyres, Butterfly Gandhimathi, Canara Bank, and Cadila Healthcare, are scheduled to release their June quarter results today.
On Tuesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 37687.91 up by 748.31 points or by 2.03 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11095.25 up by 203.65 points.
