Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to open lower; ITC, Asian Paints results eyed

Domestic bourses are likely to open marginally lower on Friday as the SGX Nifty is trading lower amid weak global cues.
Today, a total of 71 companies including ITC, Asian Paints, and Ambuja Cements are scheduled to announce their quarterly results. For ITC, a steep decline in its cigarette and hotel businesses due to the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic is expected to dent the June quarter earnings.
On Thursday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 38140.47 up by 268.95 points or by 0.71 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11215.45 up by 82.85 points.
