Domestic bourses are expected to start the day in green on Thursday. Markets are likely to track their global peers today in the absence of major domestic cues. Investors will track the Covid-19 cases trend and newsflow, as well as auto sales data for May throughout the session.
India's total number of coronavirus cases has exceeded the 6 lakh-mark while around 17,840 people have died from the fatal disease, according to Worldometer data.
Besides, investors might react to GST collection data announced yesterday according to which it increased to Rs 90,917 crore in June, as against Rs 62,009 crore in May and just Rs 32,294 crore in April. Returns for previous months were filed in June, following a relaxation in the deadline, which led to the surge in collections.
On Wednesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 35414.45 up by 498.65 points or by 1.43 % and then NSE Nifty was at 10430.05 up by 127.95 points.
