Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to open in green; RIL in focus

Domestic bourses are expected to start the day on a positive note on Friday as investors will today look at global markets for cues, while stock-specific developments and corporate results of some blue-chip companies are also expected to influence the markets.
Reliance Industries will once again be in focus after the conglomerate said that Abu-Dhabi based global investment company , Mubadala, would pick up 1.85 per cent in Jio Platforms for Rs 9,093.6 crore.
On the result front, a total of 32 companies, including the State Bank fo India and Larsen & Toubro are scheduled to announce their March quarter results today.
Analysts are positive on the net profit of the SBI, which they expect to jump on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, loan growth is seen logging a tepid growth.
On Thursday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 33980.7 down by -128.84 points or by -0.38 % and then NSE Nifty was at 10029.1 down by -32.45 points.
