Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to open flat post Moody's rating downgrade
02/06/2020 08:34
Domestic bourses are expected to start the day on flat note on Tuesday as signaled by the SGX Nifty, although investors are likely to remain cautious amid Moody's decision to downgrade India and rising cases of Covid-19 in the country. Moody's slashed India's long-term sovereign rating yesterday from ‘Baa2’ to ‘Baa3’ — a notch above junk.
A total of 18 companies, including the likes of Britannia, Indigo, and Motherson Sumi, are scheduled to announce their results today which will induce individual stock reactions.
On Monday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 33303.52 up by 879.42 points or by 2.71 % and then NSE Nifty was at 9826.15 up by 245.85 points.
