Pre-Session: Negative opening on cards ahead of RBI press meet today

Domestic bourses are expected to start the day in red on Friday. Investors will today track the 10 am press conference by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das. Besides, global cues, and corporate results will be the other top triggers for the markets today.
Reliance Industries will once again be in focus after the conglomerate said that KKR would invest Rs 11,367 crore into Jio Platforms for 2.32 per cent equity stake.
On the result front, a total of 25 companies including Alembic Pharmaceuticals, IDFC First Bank, and UPL, are scheduled to announce their March quarter earnings later in the day.
On Thursday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 30932.9 up by 114.29 points or by 0.37 % and then NSE Nifty was at 9106.25 up by 39.7 points.
