* BANKING: The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday filed its reply in the Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative Bank case in Bombay High Court, saying depositors could withdraw up to 100,000 rupees in case of emergencies.
- The government on Tuesday said there were 5,743 cases of bank frauds, involving a total 957.60 bln
rupees, reported between Apr 1 and Sep 30.

* ECONOMY: Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur on Tuesday said the government did not intend to revise the fiscal deficit target of 3.3% of GDP for 2019-20 (Apr-Mar). The comment was made in reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha.

* FINANCE: The government is deliberating on the need for a development financial institution for long-term infrastructure finance, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur said.

* RAILWAYS: The Ministry of Railways is expected to issue Request for Quotation, inviting bids for 150 trains running on Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kolkata corridors by December, as part of its effort to
privatise passenger train operations, said Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav.

* REGULATORY: The Securities and Exchange Board of India is likely to tighten rules for portfolio
management services and shorten the timeline for rights offers.

* TAXATION: The finance ministry plans to detail state-wise GST collections on a website managed by the Goods and Services Tax Network.

* TELECOMMUNICATION: Telecom service providers have been allowed to share their infrastructure in government and public buildings, the Department of Telecommunications said.
