* AJANTA PHARMA: Has received US Food and Drug Administration's approval for generic of Depakote capsule.

* ALLAHABAD BANK: The merged entity of the bank and INDIAN BANK will register a business of 10 trln rupees in the next two to three years. The combined entity is also looking to scale up its branch  network to 10,000 in the same period.

* ASHAPURA MINECHEM: Has received an arbitration award under which invocation of pledged shares of the company's wholly-owned subsidiaries Ashapura International and Bombay Minerals and joint venture Ashapura Perfoclay by ASQ Connect has been set aside.

* BLISS GVS PHARMA: Bharat Suresh Parikh (HUF) bought 0.5% stake or 527,200 shares in the 
company at 99.62 rupees per share through a bulk deal on BSE.

* CESC: Board of directors of the company will meet on Wednesday to consider raising 3.50 bln rupees through issuances of non-convertible debentures in one or more tranches.

* COX & KINGS: Pipara & Co LLP has been appointed as statutory auditor of the company by the
resolution professional with effect from Feb 7.
-The newly appointed statutory auditors of the company have said a fraud involving at least 10 mln
rupees was committed at the company by its officers or employees in 2018-19 (Apr-Mar).

* DLF: In inter-se transfer, promoter Rajdhani Investments & Agencies bought 0.6% stake or 14.9 mln shares in the company from promoter Realest Builders and Services at 210.10 rupees per share via bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange.

* HERO MOTOCORP: Reported a 19.3% on-year decline in total sales at 498,242 units in February.

* HINDUSTAN CONSTRUCTION CO: Of the total outstanding amount of 31.71 bln rupees, the company has defaulted on payment of 5.29-bln-rupee principal, interest, and others payments towards bank loans and revolving facilities as on Jan 31.

* INDIABULLS HOUSING FINANCE: KB Horizon Access India Fund sold 3.8 mln shares or 0.9% stake in the company at 301.33 rupees apiece via a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange.

* INDIAN OIL CORP: Has picked up a minority stake in high-tech battery maker Phinergy earlier this month, is in talks with leading domestic electric vehicle makers to start field trials for the metal-air batteries that the Israeli company specialises in.

* INDRAPRASTHA GAS: Plans to set up a factory to manufacture gas meters used to bill households and industries for the consumption of the environment-friendly fuel, as it looks to cut reliance on imports from China for the same.

* INFOSYS: Has settled 600,000 rupees as compounding fees in the matter related to severance agreement with former chief financial officer Rajiv Bansal.
-In pact with IBM for digital transformation services.

* KSK ENERGY VENTURES: Committee of Creditors has passed a resolution to proceed for liquidation of the company as it has not received any expressions of interest from any prospective resolution applicant till date.

* MAHINDRA AND MAHINDRA: The company and Ford India are in joint talks with two Chinese
automakers for potential contract manufacturing deals to utilise their excess production capacities.

* MAHINDRA LIFESPACE DEVELOPERS: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has granted
approval to arm Mahindra World City Developers, the developer of the special economic zone in Chennai, for partial de-notification of 55.90 ha land in the non-processing area.

* MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA: Is developing two car models that will be priced below 500,000 rupees,
expanding its offerings in the entry-level segment where competition is easing with the introduction of new safety and emission regulations.

* MINDTREE: Has appointed Dayapatra Nevatia as its chief operating officer.

* NCC: Has secured a reinstatement order from Delhi High Court for a 15.6-bln-rupee order from NBCC.

* NEWGEN SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES: Has secured product patent from Indian Patent Office for its system and method for the automatic quality assessment of digital documents.

* NTPC: The power ministry has raised concerns over the proposed strategic divestment of government equity in the company, POWER FINANCE CORP and POWER GRID CORP OF INDIA, which may bring down its stake to below 51%.
-The company, including its joint venture and arms, has achieved its annual commercial capacity
addition target of 5,290 MW for 2019-20.

* PARAG MILK FOODS: Promoters have informed the company that they would repay the entire
outstanding loan within 90 days and release the entire lot of pledged shares from Kotak Mahindra
Investments.

* PRISM JOHNSON: The company's joint venture Spectrum Johnson Tiles permanently closed its wall manufacturing plant with capacity of 5 mln sq mtr per annum with effect from Sunday due to unviability of the plant.

* RBL BANK: Zomato has announced a strategic partnership with the bank to launch credit cards.
Cardholders can avail host of benefits every time they use Zomato.

* SHRIRAM CITY UNION FINANCE: Board has approved raising up to 6 bln rupees by issuing nonconvertible debentures in one or more tranches.

* SUN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES: Said there is a shortage of its generic version of hypertension drug pindolol in the US due to lack of ingredients.

* TECH MAHINDRA: The National Company Law Tribunal's Mumbai and Bengaluru benches have
approved the merger of wholly-owned subsidiaries Tech Mahindra Growth Factories and Dynacommerce India with the company.

* TORRENT POWER: Has taken over power distribution operations of Shil, Mumbra, and Kalwa subdivisions in Thane region of Maharashtra.

* VINATI ORGANICS: To pay 5 rupees per share interim dividend.

* VODAFONE IDEA: Is likely to pay around 30 bln rupees as spectrum dues this week for the airwaves it bought in the previous auctions, to avoid bank guarantees being invoked.

* AVIATION: The government has decided to expand the universal screening of passengers to those
travelling from Italy and Iran to check the spread of novel coronavirus, the Director General of Civil
Aviation said.

* BANKING: The Reserve Bank of India has said it has received 1.71 trln rupees in the third long-term repo operation conducted for an amount of 250 bln rupees.

* COMMODITY: Sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh have asked the state and central government to release
around 25 bln rupees of pending power dues, and export and buffer stock subsidy so that they can make timely payment of cane dues.
-The government allows export of onions without any minimum export price and letter of credit with
effect from Mar 15.

* ECONOMY: Scheduled commercial banks reduced their marginal cost of funds-based lending rates by four basis points on month in February, latest data published by the Reserve Bank of India showed.
-The Centre is unlikely to meet its 2019-20 (Apr-Mar) revised divestment target of because of
bearish market conditions.

Pre-Session: Flat to positive start likely for Sensex, Nifty today

Indian benchmark indices are expected to start the day on a flat note with positive bias on Tuesday. Domestic bourses would get some support in today's trading as assurance from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund that the two are ready to help member countries address the consequent human and economic challenge, including through emergency funding on the fallout of coronavirus.

Further, today is the second day for SBI Card's IPO. Despite the volatility in the market, the Rs 10,350-crore initial public offering of SBI Cards and Payment Services was off to a good a start on Monday. The share sale garnered 38 per cent subscription with the bulk of the bids coming from small investors, exchange data shows.

On Monday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 38144.02 down by -153.27 points or by -0.4 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11132.75 down by -69 points.

* ADANI GAS: Total Holding SAS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of French oil and gas major Total SA, completed the acquisition of 37.4% stake in the company through various open market operations Friday.

* AFFLE (INDIA): Wholly-owned subsidiary Affle International Pte will acquire Spain-based Mediasmart Mobile S.L and step-down subsidiary Affle MEA FZ-LLC will acquire all tech intellectual property assets of Mediasmart Mobile S.L for 5.12 mln euros (around 407.2 mln rupees).

* ALLAHABAD BANK: Will cut rates on loans linked to three-month Mumbai Interbank Offer Rate
(average) by 40 basis points to 5.75%.

* ALOK INDUSTRIES: Lenders to the company expect to recover 50.50 bln rupees from the sale of the bankrupt company to RELIANCE INDUSTRIES early next week after India's most valued conglomerate infused the promised 5 bln rupees equity into the debt-laden borrower.

* AXIS BANK: The bank on Friday sought buyers for its 1.2-bln exposure to Kolkata based Hindusthan National Glass & Industries.
-Is looking to raise its stake in Max Life Insurance Co by buying an additional 17.9% stake.

* BAJAJ FINANCE: The company has raised 4.30 bln rupees through non-convertible debentures maturing on Feb 11, 2030 at a coupon of 7.60% per annum.

* BHARAT PETROLEUM CORP: Anil Agarwal says valuation of company is too high and VEDANTA will evaluate bidding for it when the final bid document is out.

* BHARTI AIRTEL: The company has said that as per its self assessment for the period between 2006-07 (Apr-Mar) and December 31, 2019 the total dues related to adjusted gross revenue were 130.04 bln rupees. Subsequently, it has paid 30.04 bln rupees to the telecom department towards the full and final amounts due over and above the 100 bln rupees paid on Feb 17.

* BHARTI INFRATEL: Is likely to push for at least 30% cut in its cash payout to Providence Equity
Partners under the terms of its planned merger with Indus Towers, if the US private equity firm decides to monetise its Indus stake.

* COAL INDIA: In February, provisional output was at 66.3 mln tn, up 14.2% on year, provisional offtake was at 54.9 mln tn, up 6.8% on year.

* CREDITACCESS GRAMEEN: The company has raised 800 mln rupees through non-convertible
debentures.

* DR REDDY'S LABORATORIES: The US Food and Drug Administration has issued a Form 483 with only one observation in place of two observations intimated earlier to the company's formulations manufacturing plant-3 at Bachupally in Hyderabad.

* EICHER MOTORS: In February total commercial vehicle sales were at 4,586 units, down 28.7% on year.

* FUTURE CONSUMER: There is no material impact of coronavirus on the company's operations.

* GAIL INDIA: The Centre has allowed the company to exit as a unit from the Cochin Port Trust Special Economic Zone in Puthuvypeen, Ernakulam, after repaying the duty benefits it has availed so far, as it failed to meet the requirement of being a net foreign exchange earner.

* GODREJ PROPERTIES: The company will develop a residential project at Chandivali in Mumbai.

* GTPL HATHWAY: The non-retail portion of GTPL Hathway's promoter Jio Content Distribution
Holdings' offer for sale was subscribed 1.1 times, with bids received for 4.3 mln shares as against 3.9 mln shares on offer, the data on the National Stock Exchange showed.

* HINDUSTAN AERONAUTICS: In an ambitious project with strategic significance, the company has started groundwork to produce a 10-12 tn attack helicopter by 2027 which will be comparable with some of the best medium-lift military choppers globally like the Apache of the Boeing.

* HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORP: The board of directors of the company has approved raising up to 280 bln rupees by issuing non-convertible debentures in 2020-21 (Apr-Mar).

* INDIA CEMENTS: Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund on Wednesday sold 8.07 mln shares or 2.6% stake in the company through the open market.

* INDIAN OIL CORP: The company on Friday said that it would meet the April deadline for introducing BS-VI emission norms.

* IRCTC: Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corp, the tourism arm of the Ministry of Railways, will operate the Golden Chariot luxury train in Karnataka and some parts of other adjoining states.

* JK CEMENT: Will pay an interim dividend of 7.50 rupees per share.

* JSW STEEL: The Supreme Court on Friday will hear Bhushan Power and Steel promoter Sanjay Singal's petition against the company taking over the bankrupt company.

* MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA: Company plans to launch a cab aggregator for corporates called Alyte, expand its fleet of electric vehicles for taxi services, and bring all mobility businesses under one business vertical, in what will be a significant push by the company into cab aggregator and shared mobility services segment.
-Has initiated talks with ASHOK LEYLAND, Renault and Hyundai to supply its electric powertrain
to its peers, seeking to establish its credentials in a mobility segment that many believe would soon alter the dynamics of the hitherto fuel-fired automotive industry. TATA MOTORS, the company and MG Motor India on Sunday said they are facing challenges in terms of component supply from coronavirus hit-China.
-In February total auto sales were at 32,476 units, down 42% on year.

* MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA: In February total sales were 147,110 units, down 1.1% on year.

* MOIL: Has cut some product prices by 5%-10%.

* MOTILAL OSWAL FINANCIAL SERVICES: Market regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India on Friday has imposed a fine of 1.7 mln rupees on Motial Oswal Financial Services for failing to maintain segregation of client funds and misuse of client funds, an order said.

* NBCC (INDIA): The Delhi High Court has vacated an interim stay order on further construction by the company in a redevelopment project in Nauroji Nagar, Delhi.

* NTPC: The company has started commercial operations of its 800 MW super thermal power station at Darlipalli, Odisha effective Mar 1.

* OIL & NATURAL GAS CORP: Board will meet on Wednesday to consider interim dividend.

* PNC INFRATECH: Has received hybrid annuity road project worth 16.02 bln rupees from the  National Highways Authority of India.

* RELIANCE CAPITAL: The trustee of the debenture holders of the company has approached the Bombay High Court to protect its investment in the company, which holds shares of its subsidiary Reliance  General Insurance Co.

* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: ALOK INDUSTRIES will allot 2.5 bln optionally-convertible preference shares and 833.33 mln shares to the company on a preferential basis. In a first by an Indian telco, Reliance Jio Infocomm has sought permission from the government to undertake fifth generation trials based on technology and design developed by it.

* RELIGARE ENTERPRISES: Bought additional 14.36% stake in Religare Finvest.

* REPCO HOME FINANCE: Fidelity Investment Services has acquired 537,177 shares or 0.9% stake in Repco Home Finance at 284.46 rupees apiece through a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange.

* SHRIRAM TRANSPORT FINANCE CO: The company plans to raise funds through various options of borrowings including by way of issue of debt securities in onshore/offshore market by public issue or private placement basis.

* STATE BANK OF INDIA: Has invited bids from asset reconstruction companies, securitisation
companies, banks, non-banking finance companies, and financial institutions for a proposed sale of 33 nonperforming loan accounts worth 10.47 bln rupees. Has initiated 'cash budget based assessment' of fund based working capital limits for units and intends to focus on refinancing better rated corporates in a bid to achieve minimum 11.50% year-on-year growth in whole bank advances in 2020-21 (Apr-Mar).

* SUDARSHAN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES: Will pay an interim dividend of 6.30 rupees per share.

* SUZLON ENERGY: Debt-laden Suzlon Energy's board on Thursday approved a proposal to restructure the company's debt, which involves issuing shares and debentures to the lenders.
-The board has approved raising 4 bln rupees through securities on preferential basis.

* TATA MOTORS: The company is winding up its auto retail business Concorde Motors as a part of
strategy to move away from non-core businesses.
-In February total sales were at 40,634 units as against 60,151 units year ago.

* THOMAS COOK INDIA: Company on Friday said its board has approved a share buyback programme for total consideration of 1.5 bln rupees.

* UNITED SPIRITS: British spiritmaker Diageo has acquired an additional 0.69% stake in the company through its wholly-owned subsidiary Relay BV from Enforcement Directorate in a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange on Friday, data on the stock exchange's website showed.

* VEDANTA: Has invited bids to develop oil and gas blocks in Assam, Gujarat and Rajasthan, as a part of its plan to invest $9 bln on capital expenditure over the next two to three years.

* WELSPUN CORP: CARE RATINGS has upgraded the company's long-term rating to AA from AAearlier, and has revised long-term rating outlook to stable as against positive.

* REGULATORY: The government has extended the term of Securities and Exchange Board of India
Chairman Ajay Tyagi by six months from Saturday or until further order, as per a notification released late Friday.
-Market regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India on Friday has imposed a fine of 1.7 mln
rupees on Motial Oswal Financial Services for failing to maintain segregation of client funds and misuse of client funds, an order said.

* OIL AND GAS: A UK court has denied the Indian government permission to appeal a recent order that potentially reduced the liability of RELIANCE INDUSTRIES, Shell and OIL AND NATURAL GAS CORP in the ongoing arbitration over the finances of the Panna, Mukta and Tapti oil and gas fields.

*TELECOM: A crucial meeting of the digital communications commission on Friday on relief measures for the distressed telecom sector remained inconclusive, with officials saying more details are required for reconciliation of adjusted gross revenue data.

Pre-Session: Green start likely for benchmark indices; PMI data eyed

Indian benchmark indices are expected to start the day in green on Monday. The spread of coronavirus and its impact on the global economy will be the top triggers for the Indian stock markets today while investors will also react to India's GDP growth rate numbers published on Friday after market hours. India’s economy expanded by 4.7 per cent in the quarter ended December 31, a marginal increase from 4.5 per cent in the previous quarter.

Moroever, India Manufacturing PMI numbers for February is slated to be released today.

In the primary market, the initial public offer of SBI Cards and Payment Servies will open today. The company expects to raise around Rs 10,341 crore from the IPO with most brokerages recommending 'subscribe' to the issue. On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 38297.29 down by -1448.37 points or by -3.64 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11201.75 down by -431.55 points.

* ADANI ENTERPRISES: Adani Wilmar plans to increase the share of non-edible oil products in its total revenue to 30-35% from the current 10% in the next five years, said Angshu Mallick, deputy chief operating officer. Adani Wilmar is a joint venture between Adani Group and Wilmar International.

* BANK OF BARODA: Will sell its entire 4.90% stake in Petronet MHB for 525.60 mln rupees.

* DHANLAXMI BANK: Sunil Gurbaxani has taken charge as managing director and chief executive officer of the bank from Thursday for three years.

* DIC INDIA: The board has approved sale of the company's land in Chandivali, Mumbai, to GODREJ PROPERTIES for up to 1.53 bln rupees.

* GITANJALI GEMS: The Securities and Exchange Board of India on Thursday slapped a penalty of 50 mln rupees on the company and its promoter Mehul Choksi. This penalty is for non-disclosures by the company with respect to the PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK fraud.

* GODREJ PROPERTIES: Added new project in Mumbai of 41,800 sq mt.

* GTPL HATHWAY: The promoter of the company, Jio Content Distribution Holdings, will sell up to 4.3 mln shares or 3.83% stake in the company through an offer for sale starting today.

* HERO MOTOCORP: Has launched Super Splendor motorcycle that is compliant with Bharat Stage-VI emission norms.

* HFCL: Has selected Israel-based AudioCodes to provide voice access infrastructure for a next-generation telecom network for the Indian Army under the Network for Spectrum project.

* HINDALCO INDUSTRIES: Has raised the prices of its aluminium ingots, billets and wire rods by more than 1% on Wednesday.

* HINDUSTAN OIL EXPLORATION CO: Will start commercial production from its discovered small field block in Mumbai by December. 

* HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORP: OIL AND NATURAL GAS CORP and its downstream arm, the company, have entered into share purchase agreements with a consortium of eight public sector banks to acquire an additional 17.28% stake each in Petronet MHB, a pipeline company promoted by ONGC and HPCL.

* ICRA: Has maintained its negative outlook on the Indian aviation industry, citing ongoing lockouts in parts of China following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. It sees the maximum impact on the sector coming from international routes due to flight cancellations.

* INDIA CEMENTS: Nippon Life India Trustee sold 5.45 mln shares of the company, representing 1.76% stake, through the open market on Tuesday.

* INDIAN OIL CORP: Has made an investment of around 30 bln rupees to upgrade its refinery at Haldia to meet BS-VI emission norms.

* INDUSIND BANK: The Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Sumant Kathpalia as managing director and chief executive officer of the bank for a term of three years starting Mar 24.

* INTERGLOBE AVIATION: The company-run IndiGo and HDFC BANK have launched a co-branded travel credit card, named Ka-ching.

* JAI CORP: Morgan Stanley Mauritius Co has sold 7.05 mln shares or its entire 3.95% stake in the
company at 94.10 rupees a share through a block deal on the National Stock Exchange.

* JUBILANT FOODWORKS: Will pay interim dividend of 6 rupees per share.

* LAKSHMI VILAS BANK: Temasek Holdings, the Singapore government's investment company, has furthered its talks with Indian authorities to acquire a controlling stake in the bank.

* LEMON TREE HOTELS: The company, through its management subsidiary Carnation Hotels, announced opening of a 27-room hotel in Thimpu, Bhutan.

* KRBL: Will pay interim dividend of 2.80 rupees per share.

* MAHINDRA LIFESPACE DEVELOPERS: Has executed a sale deed with land owners for acquisition of a land parcel in Pune, Maharashtra, with residential development potential of about 700,000 sq ft.

* MANAPPURAM FINANCE: Will pay interim dividend of 0.55 rupee per share.

* MARICO: Expects to return to mid single-digit volume growth in the September quarter, Managing
Director and Chief Executive Officer Saugata Gupta told Edelweiss Securities at a recent interaction.

* MAX FINANCIAL SERVICES: Will on Tuesday consider issue of equity shares to Mitsui Sumitomo.

* NEWGEN SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES: The Development Commissioner of Noida Special
Economic Zone has given its approval to the company to set up a unit in the information
technology/information technology enabled services of Seaview Developers at Sector 135, Noida, in
accordance with the provisions of Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.

* PETRONET LNG: Has extended a non-binding memorandum of understanding with US-based Tellurian Inc by signing a supplementary agreement on Thursday.

* PIDILITE INDUSTRIES: Will acquire 70% stake in Tenax India for 800 mln rupees.

* POWER GRID CORP OF INDIA: The board will meet on Mar 6 to consider interim dividend.

* RELAXO FOOTWEARS: Will pay interim dividend of 1.25 rupees per share.

* RELIANCE NAVAL AND ENGINEERING: The committee of creditors to the company met on Feb 14 to give business updates, approve corporate insolvency resolution process costs, and discuss the appointment of resolution professional for the company.

* RITES: The government has decided to exercise the oversubscription option and sell 3.9 mln more shares through the offer for sale.

* SHREE CEMENT: The company's cement kiln at Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates has
started commercial operations. "We have operationalised the plant and now it is the world's largest cement kiln with a capacity to produce 14,500 tn per day," Managing Director H.M. Bangur said.

* SUZLON ENERGY: Board has approved the company's debt reconstruction plan. It has also approved issuing up to 1 bln shares to lenders.

* TATA CHEMICALS: HDFC Mutual Fund on Wednesday sold 5.80 mln shares or 2.28% stake in the company through the open market.

* TATA MOTORS: The Competition Commission of India is examining allegations that the company and two finance firms of its parent group abused their market position while selling commercial vehicles.

* TATA POWER: The company has told distribution companies in Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Maharashtra that supply may be stopped from March if tariff is not hiked.

* TITAN CO: Morgan Stanley France SAS on Thursday sold 1.82% stake in the company for over 1.25 bln rupees through an open market transaction.

* VEDANTA: Has raised prices of its aluminium ingots by more than 1% from Wednesday, and it now costs between 136,500 rupees and 149,500 rupees per tn. The company hiked the prices after cutting them last week.
-The company will pay interim dividend of 3.9 rupees per share.

* VODAFONE IDEA: Axiata Group Berhad is close to completely exiting the company, with valuation of the Malaysian telecom company's stake in the struggling telecom operator seeing a sharp erosion over the past 18 months.
-The company wants minimum tariffs for mobile data to be fixed at 35 rupees per GB, 7-8 times of
current prices, and calls at 6 paise per minute along with monthly charges from Apr 1, to help it pay the statutory dues and make its business sustainable.

* VOLTAS: Has commenced operations at its greenfield unit in Waghodia, Gujarat, to manufacture
industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions, catering to different needs, capacities, and environments.
